The moon in me
[The moon]
The moon dreams of a child in many bodies.
Remembering the contraction of the cosmos, it weeps together with the sea.
No sadness comes. It's aware. Only dreams of tired bodies do.
[Relentlessly]
As the heart grows, pulsating with the head of the night sky;
She whispers stars in my ears.
At times, the daily dose of chores--
a choir of noise that tightens the chest. The body allows.
All that remains to grasp are the moments
when the musical strings vibrate without and within. So sound.
She is here, I'm aware. Always.
Also without and within.
