The blessings of waste

The only wealth created by men that moves around the whole world in a blessed and compassionate way is waste. The excess moves towards the place of the deficiency: this is the way of Heaven. "The Way of Man is different: It takes from those who do not have enough to give to those who already have too much."

The Tao of Heaven resembles a drawn bow. It brings down the high and exalts the lowly; it takes from those who have superfluity, and gives to those who have not enough. The Tao of Heaven abstracts where there is too much, and supplements where there is deficiency. The Tao of men does not so. It takes away from what is already deficient in order to bestow on those who have a superfluity. Who is able to devote his surplus to the needs of others? Only he who is possessed of Tao. Thus it is that the Sage acts, yet does not plume himself; achieves works of merit, yet does not hold to them. He has no wish to make a display of his worthiness." - Translated by Frederic H. Balfour, 1884, Chapter 77

We live in a world system of accumulation. Some accumulate empty money, some accumulate properties, and the ones that have none, accumulate only rubbish. Rich people give back to nature overproduction of pollutants and starvation, the middle class gives back to nature recycled rubbish, and the poor people give back to nature just any rubbish available. Rubbish is the most shared belonging in our society, and that's why people offer it to their Gods and lands.

If you think about it with a nonjudgmental mind, people are incredibly loving. They share with others what is shared with them. If rubbish is our current shared value, that's what the people will share the most as well. I don't mean in a condescending way that the mass of society is brainless. On the contrary, we all are wired by our societal modus operandi, by humanity's big mind. And, believe it or not, poor people are the ones who adapt to the current values in the least hypocritical way.

Reality is nothing more than what is presented to us at this exact moment. I don't think, however, that the world is presented or forced on to us by rich people, or from the rich to the poor, like many middle class people want to believe. I can say that without any fear of mistake, because the rich also share rubbish with the world, even though it is in a hypocritical way --Hypocritical because they believe they despise rubbish and spare themselves from it, by being clean. On their minds, they think themselves to be better them the poor, but, in reality, they create and accumulate rubbish in the whole world as a much as, if not more.

The real question then should be: who is the one who imposes reality onto the human mind? Or on humanity's big mind? Let's rest on this question only.
